Barry S. Cohen Joins CPRi Communications As Account Executive
Seasoned Professional Augments Company’s West Coast Staff. Barry S. Cohen has joined CPRi Communications as an account executive at the agency’s West Coast offices in Scottsdale, Arizona. CPRi is a leading technology and healthcare-focused marketing and communications firm.

“Given Barry’s broad experience in all phases of healthcare communications and his in-depth knowledge of the financial markets, he will play a key role in helping our clients achieve both their business and communications goals,” says Jodi Amendola, senior vice president of CPRi.

Cohen comes to CPR with more than 25 years in communications, the majority in senior-level positions at some of the world’s largest healthcare companies, including Abbott Laboratories, Warner-Lambert and Bayer.

He has a wide range of experience in media relations, investor relations, employee and financial communications, marketing, advertising, speech writing and television production. For seven years, he served on the investor relations team at Abbott and supervised production of the company’s award-winning annual and quarterly reports. Later, Cohen obtained his Series 7 broker’s license and was employed as an investment representative at Charles Schwab & Co.

At Warner-Lambert, Cohen oversaw a staff of nine professionals responsible for media relations, product publicity, the company’s grassroots legislative program and employee communications. He has lobbied members of the U.S. Congress on behalf of Stericycle, Inc. and has helped generate positive feature articles in numerous national business publications. He also helped develop public relations programs for more than 20 major brands, including Listerine, Lubriderm, Alka-Seltzer and the first FDA-approved drug to treat Alzheimer’s disease, Cognex.

As primary Warner-Lambert spokesperson, Cohen directed the company’s public response to product recalls, environmental issues and financial results. He has written numerous speeches, including one for the president of Warner-Lambert that was later published in Vital Speeches.
