World Asthma Day 2000 Press Conference Live Webcast!
The NHLBI's National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) invites you to view the official U.S. World Asthma Day Press Conference, Webcast live from the Tyler Elementary School in Washington, D.C. at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 3, 2000. To view the Webcast, go to the NHLBI homepage at http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov shortly before the event-click first on World Asthma Day, then on Live Webcast Information. The World Asthma Day Press Conference will include remarks by NHLBI Director Dr. Claude Lenfant, D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams, National Library of Medicine Director Dr. Donald Lindberg, D.C. Director of Health Dr. Ivan Walks, D.C. Schools Superintendent Arlene Ackerman, D.C. Asthma Coalition Representatives Dr. Inez Smith Reid and Dr. Floyd Malveaux, and Grammy Award-winning rap music artist Coolio who has asthma. Children from the Tyler Elementary School Asthma Club will also present a skit on what it means to have asthma.
