FDS Intimate Lubricants was created especially for the many women who experience discomfort due to dryness during sex and therefore are not enjoying their intimate relationships to the extent that they should.
Vaginal dryness remains a hidden yet widespread sexual health issue that affects women after childbirth and menopause, according to Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a sexual health expert at the University of Washington.
"Many women do not know that lubricants can be an easy, discreet solution for uncomfortable and, in some cases, painful sex," said Dr. Schwartz. "But there have been significant advances and the new and improved products, formulated for women, offer a natural feeling."
Because the issue of vaginal dryness is rarely discussed, many women do not know that there are biological reasons for the diminished ability to lubricate and instead blame themselves. Their self-confidence and relationships suffer as a result.
Beyond hormonal shifts, dryness is also a side effect of everyday medications like antihistamines and those used to treat cancer and other serious illnesses.
A Harris Interactive(R) sampling of more than 1,300 women found that 33 percent of sexually active American women say they have avoided, made an excuse or stopped having sex because of vaginal discomfort; the percentage increases significantly among younger women -- 52 percent of those between 18 and 24 said the same.
Yet sexual satisfaction was important to more than two-thirds of those surveyed and remained so regardless of age -- 67 percent of women experiencing menopausal symptoms and 59 percent of post menopausal women said the same.
FDS Intimate Lubricants, available in both regular and warming, are unique formulas that are neither a gel nor a liquid. They were specifically designed to provide an enhanced natural sensation and prevent the mess that often stops people from using a lubricant.
They are FDA approved, and non-irritating, long lasting and fragrance free. It was created without animal testing. It is also the first feminine hygiene product to earn the Good Housekeeping Seal. They are sold in 2 ounce pump-bottles, with a suggested retail price of $6.49 at most major drugstores and mass market retailers.
