In developing the new information area, cancerpage.com turned to the expertise of the American Brain Tumor Association, which prepared the information for the cancerpage.com web site.
Visitors are presented the latest information available about symptoms, risk factors, diagnostic tests and brain cancer treatment options.
“When we decided to update our information about cancer of the brain and central nervous system, we sought out the people who not only are experts in the biology of brain cancer but also the needs of patients and their caregivers. It was natural to look to the American Brain Tumor Association for this collaborative effort,” said cancerpage.com editor Rachael Myers Lowe.

The American Cancer Society estimates there will be 17,200 new cases of cancer of the brain or central nervous system in 2001.
