AHAData.com, a Web site that provides health care leaders with access to key information sources, has just received a new infusion of data from one of the most comprehensive databases in the nation. The site (www.ahadata.com) has been updated with data from the latest AHA Annual Survey, which includes 1999 figures on roughly 5,800 hospitals, facilities and patient services.
Health care leaders, policy makers, and researchers consistently turn to the AHA Annual Survey data to get an accurate snapshot of what is happening in hospitals and health systems. Some survey highlights include the number of surgical operations, births and emergency department visits.
First launched in April 2000, AHAData.com allows users access to customized data quickly. The site goes beyond hospitals, including data about health care systems, networks and other non-hospital health care organizations.
