Medical Break-Through That Stops Bleeding Instantly Now Available Over-The-Counter
QR powder, used by ER, oncology, hematology and ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctors, as well as sports trainers, instantly forms a scab once the powder and slight pressure are applied to the wound's blood. The covering that's created stops the bleeding in seconds and protects the wound from infection. For nosebleeds, a special applicator is included to load the QR powder and roll it into the nasal cavity.

The powder, available in nosebleeds, cuts/lacerations and kids products, is classified in the "safest" category (with bandages and gauze) by the FDA and was clinically tested by an FDA-approved independent lab.

For people with active life styles who frequently get nosebleeds or lacerations, or those who suffer cuts on the job, the QR products offer a new alternative to traditional treatments to keep them on the go.

For the 26 million Americans who have bleeding disorders and medical conditions necessitating blood-thinning medications, the product offers more than a fast treatment, it provides an emotional benefit that comes with knowing that bleeding obstacles can be quickly overcome.

"You can't believe the happiness QR has brought me," states Dennis Hart, a hemophiliac who owns a bait and tackle shop in Sarasota, Fla. "I've had finger cuts that have lasted for weeks because my body and typical treatments couldn't clot my blood. With QR, it effectively stops my bleeding quickly, allowing me to spend more time with my family or customers instead of the doctor. If it works for me, it can work for anyone."

Dr. Brian Letts, an emergency room physician in Sarasota states, "I've used it a few times and I'm amazed at how well it heals the tissue. It seems like the healing time is quicker."

In clinical studies using the powder, bleeding stopped in less than 15 seconds in 70 percent of successful cases, while 98 percent stopped in less than a minute. In the tests conducted by an independent FDA-approved laboratory, the QR powder passed all safety and toxicity tests.

"With this powder, the procedure I use to stop bleeding from nosebleeds and other wounds in the ER has been dramatically reduced in both steps and time," states Brian Skrainka, MD, Greenville, S.C.

"I find it completely safe. If you're comfortable using bandages and gauze on your wound, you should be comfortable using this product."

According to Biolife executives, the QR product is already making a big difference with consumers.

"Every day, we receive e-mails and calls from people who've used QR for the first time," states Andrew McFall of Biolife, Sarasota, Fla. "They are relieved to find a product that stops bleeding instantly and excited that they can count on QR in the future to help them get back to what's important in life."

The QR powder is available at 15,000 national retail locations, including Wal-Mart, CVS, Publix and Albertsons (among others). Additional retailers can be identified at http://www.biolife.com/ .
